GLOBE HILL TRACK

ABOUT THIS TRACK

This cycling and walking track connects Reefton township with the Globe Progress Mine site.

Wind your way up a steady climb through Ngai Tahu forestry land. This provides great views of Reefton and the Inangahua river and valley. Head into Victoria Forest Park and work your way up through the beautiful beech forest until you arrive at Globe Progress Mine. 

Along the way you can expect to see plenty of bird life, including tūi, bellbird/korimako, tomtit/miromiro, robin/toutouwa, kākā and parakeets/kākāriki.

You can connect with the Fossickers Lake Track and the Union Creek Track from this track.

Globe Hill Track is in great condition despite all the recent rain - it's well built, well surfaced and well drained so great to ride in wet conditions. No slips or treefall.
