ABOUT THIS TRACK
This track starts at the Inangahua River Swingbridge 11 km east of Reefton on the Lewis Pass highway (SH7). Cross the suspension bridge over the river to reach a good track following the disused water race winding through beautiful lush, mossy beech forest and is classified as an easy-to-intermediate walk. The track is a 5 km out and back walk that follows part of the water race.

LATEST TRACK INFORMATION
The track up to the first slip was cleared of overgrown vegetation and deadfall by the Trail Collective in June and July 2026. There are some loose boards and wire on the steps and boardwalk. The track is closed past the first slip and very overgrown.
